Stephen Buzard to Grace Cathedral, San Francisco

Stephen Buzard is appointed director of music for Grace Episcopal Cathedral, San Francisco, California. Buzard brings experience in choral leadership, sacred music, and congregational worship. Most recently, he served as director of music at St. James Episcopal Cathedral, Chicago, Illinois, where he led and expanded the cathedral’s choir and chorister programs. Previously, he directed choirs at St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, in New York, New York.

A graduate of the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, New Haven, Connecticut, Buzard completed organ scholar appointments at Trinity-on-the-Green, New Haven; Wells Cathedral in England; and Trinity Church, Princeton, New Jersey. In addition, he is a concert organist who has performed throughout the United States and internationally, represented by Karen McFarlane Artists, Inc. Buzard is a member of The Diapason’s 20 Under 30 Class of 2016.
