Raven announces a new organ CD: Paris Impact: Organ Suites (OAR-168, $15.98 postpaid) features Stephen Price performing on the 2006 Goulding & Wood Opus 45 of three-manuals, 50 stops, 63-ranks in Sursa Performance Hall, Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, where Price has served on the faculty since 2018, having recently completed his Master of Music and Doctor of Music degrees at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Bloomington, with Janette Fishell.

This is the first CD recording of the instrument. The disc features the first suite by Pierre DuMage, Jehan Alain’s Suite pour orgue, and Views from the Oldest House by Ned Rorem.

In addition to his teaching duties at Ball State, Dr. Price is coordinator for the Sursa American Organ Competition. He  was recently appointed Dean of the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists after serving as Sub-Dean 2019–2021, and also currently serves on the Organ Historical Society’s Advisory Membership committee. Recently, He co-authored a music appreciation book with his colleagues in the School of Music at Ball State, titled Introduction to Music, published by Kendall Hunt. Dr. Price is Director of Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Newcastle, Indiana.
