Jan Kraybill with United States Air Force Band of Mid-America
Jan Kraybill performed with the brass ensemble of the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America in a program that included works by Fela Sowande, Max Reger, and Camille Saint-Saëns, along with patriotic selections on July 6 in Cox Auditorium, Principia College, Elsah, Illinois.
The event was the opening concert of the 2026 national convention of the American Guild of Organists, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended by more than 1,000 persons. Featured was the auditorium’s Casavant Frères, Limitée, Opus 3838, a 56-stop instrument of mechanical key action. (See cover feature, May 2006 issue.)
The program included the world premiere of Fanfare Exaltate by Jessica Hunt. Pre-concert organ and carillon performances welcomed attendees to campus.
