
Raven announces a DVD + CD organ release, Fire and Fantasy: The Wanamaker Organ & Orchestra (OAR-195 DVD+CD, $29.95), featuring works for organ and orchestra played by Peter Richard Conte at the Wanamaker Organ and the New Jersey orchestra Symphony in C, directed by Stilian Kirov, recorded in a live concert in the Grand Court of Macy’s, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
On the DVD video presentation, Thomas Murray introduces the music and the features. Works include Fantasia & Fugue on Ad nos ad salutarem undam by Franz Liszt, arranged by Marcel Dupré; Grand Choeur Dialogué by Eugène Gigout, arranged by Guy Ropartz; Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, by Ralph Vaughan Williams, arranged by Conte; and Symphony No. 1 in D Minor, op. 42, by Alexandre Guilmant.
