Wanamaker Organ Day

Friends of the Wanamaker Organ presents Wanamaker Organ Day on June 3.

Friday includes organ and shop tours following the noon concert, plus a 5:30 p.m. concert.

Saturday’s schedule:

9 a.m.: free showing of the Wanamaker Organ Yearbook Documentary in the Grand Court

11 a.m.: free grand opening concert features Rudy Lucente and fellow associate organists

2 p.m.: Brett Miller at the Mighty Wurlitzer in Greek Hall, in a program of hits from the Great American Songbook. A nominal admission is charged at the door.

Following the Wurlitzer concert—and throughout the weekend—are free Wanamaker Organ pipe-chamber tours, plus an opportunity to visit the Wanamaker Organ museum, Hall of Flags, and restoration studios.

5 p.m.: the New Jersey Wind Symphony, Christian Wilhjelm, conductor

8 p.m., Richard Elliott and Peter Richard Conte
