Azica Records announces a new organ CD: First and Last (ACD-71356), featuring Christopher Houlihan performing on the Manton Memorial Organ by Pascal Quoirin (2011) in the Church of the Ascension, New York City.
The disc features Grande pièce symphonique, op. 17, by César Franck, and Symphonie VI, op. 59, and “Berceuse,” from 24 Pièces en style libre, op. 31, no. 9, both by Louis Vierne.
In 2017 Christopher Houlihan was appointed to the John Rose College Organist-and-Directorship Distinguished Chair of Chapel Music at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. succeeding his former teacher, John Rose.
Christopher Houlihan is represented in North America exclusively by Phillip Truckenbrod Concert Artists.
