In homage to his Danish heritage and in celebration of fifty years as a church organist, William James Lawson performed May 5 a recital of Danish music at Main Street Baptist Church, Binghamton, New York, where he is organist.

The program featured music by Hans Matthison-Hansen, C. E. F. Weyse, J. P. E. Hartmann, Niels Gade, Laurids Lauridsen, Rued Langgaard, and Christian Præstholm. Lawson was joined in selected works by Binghamton University students Brian Snyder, organ; Rachel Pitt, flute; Felipe Alvarez Ruiz, tenor; Paul Barber, trumpet; and Alex Liu, trombone.
