
On April 14 Jeremy David Tarrant was honored by the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Detroit, Michigan, in recognition of his 25 years as organist and choirmaster, and his 30th year on the staff. Tarrant was appointed assistant organist in 1994 and succeeded David Bartlett as organist and choirmaster in 2000. In 2007 he was named canon precentor.
His tenure has seen the establishment of the Cathedral Music Society and the Cathedral Choir School of Metropolitan Detroit. He has conducted the cathedral choirs on two tours of England and is both conductor and organ soloist on the choir’s two CD recordings.
An active concert organist, Tarrant has performed across North America and in France. He is represented by Seven Eight Artists.
