The fifth International Buxtehude Organ Competition will take place September 21–29 in Lübeck, Germany, hosted by the Musikhochschule Lübeck.
The competition is open to organists born in or after 1986 and will involve three rounds with participants performing on historic organs of Lübeck and Hamburg.
First prize is €8,000; second prize is €5,000; third prize is €3,000. T
he jury consists of Jon Laukvik (chair, Norway), Michel Bouvard (France), Pieter van Dijk (Holland), Ja-Kyung Oh (South Korea), Arvid Gast, Franz Danksagmüller, Matthias Neumann, Gerhard Löffler, Andreas Fischer, and Wolfgang Zerer (all of Germany).
