The Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival Hartford, Christopher Houlihan, artistic director, announces results of its Young Professional Division competition held September 22, 2022.
First prize was awarded to Bruce Xu, a student of Ken Cowan at Rice University; second prize was presented to Aletheia Teague, a student of Paul Jacobs at The Juilliard School; and third prize went to Theodore Cheng, also a student in the studio of Paul Jacobs at Juilliard. The audience and hymn-playing prizes was awarded to Bruce Xu. Jury members were Alcee Chriss, Isabelle Demers, and Thomas Murray.
