Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival concert

On June 14 the Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival presented two 2014 festival winners in concert at Trinity College Chapel in Hartford, Connecticut.

Clara Gerdes (high school division) played Prelude and Fugue in D Major, BWV 532, Bach; Cortège et Litanie, op. 19, no. 2, Dupré; Hommage à Frescobaldi, Langlais; and Organ Sonata No. 4 in B-flat Major, op. 65, Mendelssohn.

Nicholas Quardokus (young professional division) played Toccata, op. 9, Guillou; Bergamasca (from Fiori Musicali), Frescobaldi; Prelude and Fugue in C Minor, BWV 546, Bach; Psalm Prelude, Set two, no. 1, De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine (Ps. 130:1) (1940), Howells; Pageant, Sowerby.
