Paul Jacobs premieres Stephen Paulus work

In March Paul Jacobs gave the premiere of a new concerto for organ and orchestra by Stephen Paulus. Organ Concerto No. 4 is scored for organ and full orchestra, 25 minutes in duration; the three movements are I. Robust, II. Soaring, and III. Swirling Agitation.

The work was commissioned by Peggy and Jerry Schuld for the Phoenix Symphony, with Michael Christie conducting. The performance took place at Symphony Hall, Phoenix.
