Paul Jacobs awarded honorary doctorate

Paul Jacobs has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree from Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pennsylvania.

The ceremony took place on campus on May 20. Jacobs, head of the organ department of The Juilliard School of New York City, is the first organist to have been presented a Grammy Award.

At Washington and Jefferson College, Paul Jacobs stands between George Rau, his first organ teacher, and Susan Woodard, his high school piano teacher.
