A. Thompson-Allen Company was founded by Aubrey Thompson-Allen in 1952. Upon his retirement in 1973, his son Nicholas and his assistant Joseph
Dzeda formed a partnership that continues to this day. The company maintains over 100 instruments in southern New England and acts as Curators of Organs for Yale University. Additionally the firm specializes in the restoration of instruments from the first part of the 20th century, and has restored more than sixteen organs by the Skinner and Aeolian-Skinner firms, in addition to those of other builders.
