From the editor

Welcome to THE DIAPASON E-News.

This issue contains news on the deaths of Douglas Rafter, Portland, Maine's longest-lived municipal organist, and John Schantz, musician and organbuilder.

We also report on a new book in honor of Joan Lippincott, and on new recordings by Olivier Latry, Colin Lynch, and Cicely Winter.

There is also information on new pipe organ installations by John-Paul Buzard Pipe Organ Builders and by the Rieger Organ Company.
