Frank Hubbard double manual harpsichord
This double manual harpsichord signed “Frank Hubbard * Boston” is a Taskin model with the serial number 80. The disposition is 2x8’, 1x4’, with a range of FF to g’’’ and two transposing pitch positions of a=415 and 440. It is a custom Hubbard instrument completed in the mid 1960s and upgraded several times since then.
Single-manual, Italian-style harpsichord built by Paul Irvin (1983).
Pine case and lid, 70″ long; cherry screw-in legs. GG–d3, transposing keyboard (440–415), two registers. Padded cover included.
Regularly maintained, recently rebuilt; $7,500.
