Assistant Professor (212UC2925)
The Keyboard Studies Division, College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati, seeks an outstanding candidate with a strong record of teaching and performance for a full-time tenure-track position in Organ and Harpsichord beginning in the fall semester of 2013. The Keyboard Division offers the BM, MM, and DMA in both organ and harpsichord at CCM, a leading conservatory in the performing arts and electronic media.
Responsibilities include applied studio teaching in organ and harpsichord; graduate courses in related subjects including, but not limited to Organ Seminar, Organ Pedagogy, Organ Improvisation, Figured Bass/Continuo, and Interpretation/Performance of Baroque Music; maintaining a performance profile; participating in divisional, college and university-wide committees, and other service.
Terms of Appointment: Tenure-track at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Position Qualifications: Doctoral degree or the professional equivalent, plus performing and teaching experience in both organ and harpsichord. Experience as a church or synagogue musician.
