Born in Italy, a substitute organist at age 13, graduated from conservatory with highest honors and appointed assistant professor at age 19.
After emigrating to the U.S. in 1908, played at several churches in New York City; hired as chief organist by Samuel “Roxy” Rothafel; had a daily radio program from the Capitol Theatre.
