Recording of Christopher Tambling organ works

January 20, 2016

Dr. J. Butz Musikverlag has released a new recording of organ works by the late British composer Christopher Tambling. The CD exemplifies Tambling’s style, rooted in the Romantic tradition and characterized by sophisticated harmonies and refined rhythms.

On the recording organist Jörg Abbing, professor at the Saarbrücken University of Music, performs Tambling’s works on the newly installed Hugo Mayer organ at the Basilika St. Kastor in Koblenz, Germany (IV/52).

All recorded works are also published as sheet music by Dr. J. Butz-Musikverlag, Bonn, Germany. The CD is available through Dr. Butz-Musikverlag or the Classicophon recording label, Germany. For information: butz-verlag.de.
