Alan Morrison plays 40th recital at Ursinus College

April 24, 2015

Alan Morrison recently played his 40th recital at Ursinus College (College-ville, Pennsylvania), where he has just completed 20 years as college organist. In this role he has played countless choral concerts with conductor and department chair, Dr. John French, solo recitals twice yearly, convocations, and other official services.

Morrison was first brought to the attention of Ursinus College while still a student at Curtis and was asked to make a CD (Organ Power) on the relatively new Austin instrument (Heefner Memorial Organ). Shortly after, a new position was created to help the organ achieve an identity in the area and Morrison was offered this post.

Morrison continues as the Haas Charitable Trust Chair in Organ Studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia (since 2002) and faculty member at Westminster Choir College of Rider University (since 2006). He is under the exclusive management of Karen McFarlane Artists, Inc. Visit www.alanmorrison.com for more news.
