From the editor

Welcome to THE DIAPASON E-NEWS.

This issue contains updates on new and restored organs: Installation of John Paul Buzard Organ Builders' Opus 42 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Richmond, Virginia, nears completion, and the 18th-century organ in Santa María de la Asunción Tlacolula in Mexico is being restored. New publications include Michael McNeil's new book, The Sound of Pipe Organs, and a digital version of Frank Taylor Plays the Music of Pierre Dumage and Jean-François D’andrieu, a recording made at Boston’s Old West Church. Upcoming performances include Gail Archer, Jack Mitchener, and Carol Williams playing recitals this fall. And Iain Quinn has been appointed assistant professor of organ, Florida State University.
